Huami has launched a successor to its superpopular Amazfit Bip smartwatch dubbed Amazfit Bip S at the CES 2020.
The Amazfit Bip S comes with a 1.28-inch measuring screen with 176 x 176 resolution. It’s a transflective color display, the same technology which Garmin implements in its GPS running watches. It, therefore, appears brighter and clearer as more sunlight shines on the watch.
Similarly, the Amazfit Bip S comes with a 5ATM water resistance rating in contrast to the IP68 in the previous Bip watch. Moreover, the battery life has also got an increment to 40 days and weighs just 31 grams.
Also, the device has an upgraded GPS. Inside of the device is a Sony 28nm low-power GPS that enables a GPS+GLONASS dual-mode positioning and enhanced Satellite searching. As for the battery life with the GPS on, it’s said to last 20 hours on a charge.
Other features include Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, approximately 2.5-hours charging time, and a 20mm strap width.
About the price, the Amazfit Bip S will be up for sale for 69.90, i.e. $30 cheaper than its predecessor.
