Patan High Court has ordered the government not to interrupt the ride-sharing service, like Pathao and Tootle, in Nepal but instead regularize it lawfully.
Patan High Court spokesman Shambhu Regmi stated that; Shreeman Kumar Gautam and Mina Gautam Sedhai in a session instructed Transportation Management Department, Traffic Police, and all the other concerned governmental entities to regulate policies and laws regarding the ride-sharing services in Nepal.
As of now, traffic police are seen to interrupt ride-sharing services while the court has now denied any sort of interruption.
Similarly, the court also hadn’t put any interruption order earlier in Mangsir against the Taxi Association Nepal’s concern that stated that Tootle and Pathao are unconstitutional. And the concern was an adversary to Tootle, Pathao, Transportation Management Department, Traffic Police, and so on.
