The Lite variant of the Honor 8A, the Honor 8A Lite, has gone official in Nepal. Despite being a ‘Lite’ version, the phone comes with no real difference over the ‘non-Lite’ one. In fact, it has one extra gig of RAM to start with but is cheaper among two.
Getting right into the specs, the Honor 8A Lite offers a 6.09-inch IPS LCD FullView display with 720p resolution. The aspect ratio sits at 19.5:9, thanks to minimal bezels, which is achieved by cramping the 8MP selfie camera inside a dewdrop notch at the top.
Talking about the camera at the back, the Honor 8A Lite bears a basic setup of a 13MP camera with f/1.8 lens and PDAF. It’s nothing fancy or over the top but should get the job done in a day to day usage.
Powering the phone is MediaTek Helio P35 chipset accompanied by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage with a dedicated slot for expansion via microSD card.
Honor says that the phone boasts insanely powerful speakers — possibly the best in this price range. But we have to get our hands-on and see if it’s the case. Regardless, one handy feature of the handset could be the wireless FM Radio. If that’s not what suits you, there’s a 3.5mm headphone jack you could always go with.
