Nintendo Switch’s cloud service app that grants trainers to store Pokémons and easily transfer titles — the Pokémon Home — is now available on the Nintendo Switch eShop. Also, there is one benefit of owning the home on console i.e. it gifts all the players a Pikachu. There’s also the mobile version which let users choose between Squirtle, Charmander, and Bulbasaur.
The app also welcomes the new version of Professor Oak. Prior to this, Game Freak introduced Professor Oak’s cousin in Pokémon Sun and Moon but everyone called him “Alolan Oak” as they weren’t the same character. Now the new Professor Oak has long hair and funky glasses and is known as Grand Oak.
Furthermore, Pokémon Home allows players to bring in Pokémon from various other Pokémon games like Pokémon Sword and Shield, Pokémon Go, Pokémon Bank, and Pokémon: Let’s Go. The people who criticized the smaller compendium of Pokémon in the Nintendo Switch games will be happy to hear that the Pokédex has been expanded.
There is a premium plan for the players to register for a certain period which allows them to store up to 6,000 Pokémons. It cost $2.99 for 30 days subscription, $4.99 for 90 days and $15.99 for a year. The players will also have access to other features, like knowing how strong monsters are. Other players who do not want the premium plan are allowed to have 30 Pokémons in the Pokédex.
