After much anticipation, Realme’s second phone to support 5G is official. This time it’s the company’s flagship, the Realme X50 Pro with latest and greatest Snapdragon chipset, six different cameras and a whopping 65W fast charging.
The Realme X50 Pro is built around a 6.44-inch FullHD+ Super AMOLED screen that supports a 90Hz refresh rate for fluid animation. On top of the screen is a Gorilla Glass 5 layer, while underneath it is a fingerprint scanner. Realme claims that the fingerprint sensor can quickly unlock the phone in 0.27 seconds.
Equipped inside is the latest Snapdragon 865 chipset accompanied by a 5G modem and up to 12GB of RAM. It also has either 6GB or 8GB option but nonetheless all three variants use LPDDR5 RAM. For storage, you’ve got either 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.0 with TurboWrite or Host Performance Booster that toggle the writing speeds up to 760MB/s and the reading speeds up to 1900MB/s.
At the back is what lies the quad-camera setup of the primary 64MP Samsung ISOCELL GW1 sensor with an f/1.8 lens. The Tetracell imager uses 4-to-1 pixel binning to produce amazing low-light images.
Adjoining the main sensor is an 8MP ultra-wide shooter behind the f/2.3 lens, with PDAF support and 119-degree FoV. And then there’s a 12MP 2x telephoto lens with an f/2.5 lens. At last, the phone has a B&W module that helps in portrait shots, much like a depth sensor.
The front, for selfies, gets two cameras put inside a pill-shaped notch. Accompanying each other is a 32MP Sony IMX616 sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide module for capturing wide-angle selfies while in a group.
For battery, the Realme X50 Pro packs a 4,200mAh battery which can be fully filled with a swashbuckling 65W fast charging in just 35 minutes; similarly, it can charge up to 60% in just 20 minutes. The phone, likewise, also has support for 18W Quick Charge/Power Delivery solution and VOOC 4.0 Flash Charge; meaning this heckuva phone can be quickly charged through pretty much every modern charging brick out there.
Out of the box, the phone will be running on Realme UI built on top of Android 10. Other notable features include NFC, Dolby Atmos Stereo Speakers, and vapor cooling system for dissipating heat while intense gaming.
As for the pricing, the Realme X50 Pro starts at INR 37,999 for the 6GB/128GB version, INR 39,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant and INR 44,999 for the maxed-out 12GB/256GB variant. Pricing wise, the phone is right up there with Poco X2 and Realme X2 Pro.
Besides India and China, the phone will be available in the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Spain, Singapore, Thailand, UK, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, and more. There’s no word of availability of the phone in Nepal.
