The Vivo S6 5G is the latest addition to the company’s mid-range lineup. The phone brings the AMOLED display, a quad-camera with a pretty capable selfie snapper, dual-mode 5G connectivity and Exynos 980 chipset which can be seen in Vivo X30 and X30 Pro.
First, to talk about that front, like most of Vivo’s premium mid-ranger the S6 also offers an AMOLED screen that measures 6.44-inch diagonally. It’s an FHD+ panel with a 2400 x 1800 pixel resolution and a teardrop notch that makes room for the 32MP selfie camera. The aspect ratio sits at 20:9 and features an in-display fingerprint scanner for biometrics.
To the back, we have a circular hump that sees four cameras: a 48MP primary sensor that is coupled up with 8MP ultrawide shooter, 2MP macro lens and 2MP depth sensor.
The Vivo S6 5G, much like the X30 and X30 Pro, also has the Exynos 980 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB storage. Powering this phone is a 4.500mAh cell that can be charged through 18W fast charging. Out of the box, the phone boots on Android 10 with Funtouch OS on top.
Now to the availability, the Vivo S6 is offered in Black, White and Blue color options. Pre-orders being from today, whilst the sale will start from April 4. Pricing wise, the 6/128GB variant will cost CNY 2,698 (~$380), whereas the 8/256GB version is priced at CNY 2,998 ($425).
