Huami is offering a sneak peek of its upcoming smartwatch dubbed Amazfit Ares. If you’ve never heard about the company, it has been making Mi Bands for Xiaomi (which is coming with the Mi Band 5 soon, also made by Huami).
After confirmation in April, Huami will be launching the Amazfit Ares on 19 May. The company came up with a Weibo post flaunting octagonal build in green and black colors that seems to comprise a total of four buttons for navigation on both sides.
As in previous Amazfit watches, the Amazfit Ares comes with a color display alongside a friendly user interface. It will supposedly feature more than 70 sport modes including the Firstbeat training analysis.
By the looks of it, the wearable could be a rugged one capable enough to handle drops, shocks, and even water. The display is probably covered by plastic alongside rubber. Plus the strap seems to be silicon made owing to a bulky design and the fact that the watch is kept in a jungle-background.
Other features might include built-in GPS, sleep tracking, heart-rate sensor, etc.
Now, based on what we have seen in past Amazfit watches, Huami has been good with design, UI, and battery life. However, it should look upon the apps and software updates which has been pretty much downside ever since. The Amazfit also doesn’t provide support for third-party app integration.
