While the upcoming Poco F2 is grabbing the limelight, Poco is allegedly coming up with a mid-ranger dubbed as the Poco M2 Pro with a Snapdragon 720G chipset. The device, for a while, appeared on the Xiaomi India website with SAR testing data but now it has been deleted.
Although deleted, XDA-Developers does come up with certain reveals. The device goes by the code name “gram” with model number M2003J6CI. It even reports Xiaomi to be working on the device for quite some time already. The “gram” has the firmware ready, previously launched in Redmi Note 9 Pro’s kernel source code. And a watermark has been spotted in the default camera app for it.
XDA-Developers is also convinced that the Poco M2 Pro will mostly resemble the Redmi Note 9 Pro. Hence, they could share some similar hardware specs that include the SoC. This means that the Poco M2 Pro could definitely power on a Snapdragon 720G SoC.
However, all these speculations are based on research done on the basis of a singular appearance of the device on a website. Well, the device got deleted from the page. So, we won’t be surprised if it comes with some other chipset too along with its software.
