Xiaomi introduces the 14-inch 10th gen ultrabook laptops — the Mi NoteBook 14 and the Mi NoteBook 14 Horizon at much lower price tags in comparison to any other laptops in the market carrying similar specs.
Both the Mi NoteBook 14 laptops get sleek 14-inch full HD anti-glare LCD screens with a 16:9 aspect ratio and a magnesium-aluminum chassis. However, the Horizon variant brings slimmer bezels — 3mm on the sides and top resulting in a 91% screen-to-body ratio.
Xiaomi is shipping the Mi Webcam HD with the Mi NoteBook 14 series laptops owing to their much smaller bezels.
The regular Mi NoteBook 14, on the other hand, has a comparatively bigger bezel but keeps the same solid form-factor. It weighs 1.5kg, whereas the Horizon model weighs 1.35kg. Both duos flaunt a stereo speaker at the bottom and a single finger lid opening.
Moving on, the regular variant carries the 10th generation Intel core i5-10210U processor and a choice among an Intel UHD 620 or an Nvidia GeForce MX250 GPU. Similarly, the Horizon variant comes with a Core i7-10510U processor paired with an Nvidia GeForce MX350 GPU. Both get the 8GB DDR4 RAM and 256/512GB SATA SSD, while the top-line Horizon offers an NVMe option as well.
The laptops incorporate two USB 3.1 and one USB 2.0 port alongside an HDMI and a Type-C port. They offer a headphone jack, a dedicated charging port, and a 46Wh battery that is said to last 10 hours with a 65W charger, which can charge them up to 50% in a matter of 30 minutes.
Users can even unlock the Mi NoteBook 14 series laptops using Mi Band or share files via Mi Smart Share taking advantage of the Mi Blaze Unlock feature. Xiaomi is shipping these laptops with Windows 10 Home with Office 365, which is free for a month.
As for the pricing, the Mi NoteBook 14 costs INR 41,999 (~NPR 70,999) for the 256GB model, whereas the 512GB model costs INR 44,999 (~NPR 76,999). The Mi NoteBook 14 with an Nvidia GeForce MX 250 costs INR 47,999 (~NPR 82,000). Again, the Horizon model costs INR 54,999 (~NPR 92,999) for the Core i5 trim, and the i7 version costs INR 59,000 (~NPR 102,000).
