Statcounter reports Huawei to be in the top 5 smartphone brands in Nepal as of June 2020, 5th — to be precise with 7.9% mobile vendor market share below Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo, and Apple in descending order with 41.26%, 15.44%, 9.71%, and 7.96% share respectively.

Huawei has launched some of the most successful smartphones in the entry-level, mid-range, and high-end segments in Nepal including the most recent Y6s, Y9 Prime (2019), Nova 5T, and Huawei P30/P30 Pro.

However, since May 2019, Huawei has been reportedly working on its own Android-based software ecosystem following US President Donald Trump signing an executive order that disfavors the company form any business deal with the US-based companies.
