Realme has started to take pre-orders for the new Realme V5 on its Chinese website. The V5 is the very first entrant to the new Realme V series and the cheapest 5G smartphone yet priced at CNY 1,499. The device even boasts a massive 5,000mAh cell atop some fascinating features including Dolby Atmos-certified sound and Hi-Res Audio.
The new Realme V5 sports a 90Hz 6.5-inch LCD panel with a 20:9 ratio and 180Hz touch sampling rate. The display also includes a single punch hole at the top left housing a 16MP single 16MP selfie shooter.
The phone powers on a 7nm MediaTek Dimensity 720 octa-core chipset (two Cortex-A76 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores) paired with 6GB or 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage with expansion available via microSD slot.
The phone comes with a quad-camera setup at the back comprising an f/1.8 48MP primary sensor, a 119-degree 8MP ultrawide sensor coupled along with a macro and a depth sensor. On the other hand, the fingerprint sensor moves to the side hence which also doubles as a power button.
Realme has incorporated sub-6 GHz standard and SA/NSA networks support on top of Smart 5G for a convenient migration within 5G and LTE network during insufficient battery and more.
The device is already up for pre-order starting CNY1,499 ($215/€182) for the base 6GB/128GB variant and CNY1,899 ($270/€230) for the 8GB/128GB variant, with shipping starting as of 7 August. It’s available in Silver, Blue, and Green colors.
