Laxmi InterContinental Pvt. Ltd. the authorized distributor of Hyundai has launched the 2020 Hyundai Creta in Nepal for a starting price of Rs. 48.96 lakh. The new Creta will be available in both petrol and diesel engine with five variants. The petrol model will be available in three variants – EX, S, and SX (with CVT option), and the diesel model will be offered in two variants – E and EX.
The 2020 Hyundai Creta is an almost complete makeover in terms of its aesthetic, interior, and engine. It is now larger than its predecessor and is longer in its wheelbase too. Upfront it gets huge cascading grills, new three-strip LED DRLS, three pod headlamps, and a fog lamp underneath it, which features a sidelight. The side profile now looks more muscular than before as it gets a huge arc along with creases and it now features a flying C pillar.
It also gets new 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The front design language continues in the rear as it gets a similar three-strip tail lamp and revised design.
The interior also gets a premium makeover — much more than its predecessor. It features a 10.25-inch infotainment screen with Hyundai’s Advanced Blue-Link connect. It now gets a new 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster. Apart from that, it gets rear a/c vents with Air Purifier, Smoothing Blue Ambient Lighting, and Bose audio system, panoramic sunroof, cooled front seats, wireless charging, and auto headlamps.
The new Creta is powered by 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated MPi petrol, 1.4-liter turbo GDi petrol, and a 1.5-liter turbocharged diesel. The 1.5-liter petrol provides 115 PS power and 142 Nm torque, whereas the 1.5-liter diesel engine offers 115 PS power and 250 Nm torque. On the other hand, the extra powerful turbo petrol offers 140 PS power and 242 Nm torque. There’s now features three drive modes: Comfort, Eco, and Sport along with three traction modes: snow, sand, and mud.
It comes with safety features like Dual Airbags, Driver Rear View Monitor, Hill Start Assist Control (HAC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Rear Parking Sensors with Camera — making it one of the best compact SUVs out there.
Hyundai claims the ARAI mileage of the Creta 2020 petrol manual is 16.8kmpl and the diesel manual is 21.4kmpl. Whereas, the claimed mileage for Petrol automatic is 16.9kmpl and Diesel automatic is 18.5kmpl.
The new compact SUV will go head to head against its counterpart, Kia Seltos in Nepal.
