In about just a couple of weeks after it hit the international market, the Oppo F17 Pro has arrived in Nepal. The phone, in comparison to the Oppo F15, is a significant upgrade in terms of looks, performance, and cameras. Let’s just say this one’s catered toward a younger audience.
Let’s put aside its camera for a while and talk about the display. The Oppo F17 Pro brings a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080p+ resolution. The screen refresh rate is just limited to 60Hz but you get that super vibrant panel out of the box — this should be a good Netflix companion. The panel is protected with Gorilla Glass 3 and has a fingerprint scanner underneath.
Dive inside and you’ll find the MediaTek Helio P95 chipset running the show. The GPU is said to be tweaked for low-latency and lag-free rendering while keeping sharp textures at the same time. The storage sits at 128GB and RAM is there at 8GB — you’ll be greeted with Color OS 7.2 based on Android 10.
Heavy gaming session definitely takes a toll on the battery, but the 4,015mAh cell of the phone most probably got you covered. This one also has VOOC 4.0 with 30W of fast charging. Add to that the AI Night Charging feature and you’re good to go — what it does is that during night times it trickles up your charge from 80% till it reaches 100%, which should preserve the battery life.
Oppo says that 5 minutes charge can offer you 2 hours of YouTube playback, or 1 hour of TikTok, or 36 minutes of PUBG. That’s some bold claim but we will see once we get our hands on this phone, if possible.
About the camera, the Oppo F17 Pro gets 48MP primary camera with a 1/2″ sensor, f/1.8 lens, an 8MP ultrawide shooter with an f/2.2 lens, and two monochromatic 2MP sensors.

The front sees two selfie cameras in a pill-shaped cutout — one is a 16MP sensor and the other being a 2MP module for depth perception.
It’s Oppo so there’s definitely some AI fun in its camera software. This time it offers some quirky portrait modes — the phone can simulate bokeh with bright flares or make the background black and white while leaving you in color. The selfie camera can capture some bokeh shots as well as offer image stacking to take good quality images in low lighting conditions.
AirGestures’ there too, this means you can answer calls with just a swipe without touching the phone.
Oppo F17 Pro Price in Nepal and Availability
The Oppo F17 Pro price in Nepal is Rs. 43,990 and is available in Matte Black and Magic Blue color options. The phone will go on sale starting today through offline as well as online stores in Nepal.
Oppo also unveiled the vanilla F17, which comes with the same screen size, but there’s just a single 16MP selfie camera inside the teardrop notch. Also, the camera at the back has four-sensor but the main one comes in at just 16MP. The rest being 8MP ultrawide and two depth sensors.
The major difference, though, is the Snapdragon 662 chipset with 11nm fabrication — the Helio P95 on the Pro model is 12nm. This also brings WiFi 6 onboard, while the Helio P95 has WiFi 5.
The pricing of the vanilla Oppo F17 is yet to be announced, but Oppo has said that the device will go on sale starting October 5 in Nepal.
