The Poco X3 NFC could be the way of redeeming the ‘Poco’ brand as it comes with some of the best mid-range specs that one could ask for. Of course, the NFC moniker is a major giveaway that the phone has a ‘Near Field Communication’ but the phone has much more to offer.
Starting off, the Poco X3 NFC comes with a Snapdragon 732G chipset, which is the first of its kind on any device. And Xiaomi isn’t hiding away from the fact and stating that it’s “the most powerful Snapdragon 700 series 4G chipset to date”.
The front sees a huge 6.67-inch Full HD+ panel that bears a 20:9 aspect ratio. It’s a high refresh rate screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate for smooth scrolling as well as gaming. Above the display is a punch hole that hides the 20MP selfie camera with f/2.2 lens and pixel binning technology for an improved selfie on adequate lighting conditions.
Talking about the camera, it’s the crown jewel of this phone. The Poco X3 NFC comes with a 64MP Sony IMX682 main camera that sits behind the f/1.73 aperture and 6P lens. Complementing it is a 13MP f/2.2 ultrawide camera with 119-degree FoV.
The remaining two cameras happen to be a 2MP f/2.4 macro and depth sensor. Poco is also adding some new AI features like Skyscaping 3.0, Night Mode, ShooteSteady video to stabilize the clip post-process.
Besides camera, the Poco X3 NFC also offers a huge 5,160mAh battery. It supports 33W fast charging, and the good news is that the supporting 33W charger comes out of the box.
While the Poco X3 retains the 3.5mm headphone jack, it also comes with dual stereo speakers — the earpiece is a top speaker, with a 4cc-equivalent cavity, and then there’s the bottom one with 1cc-equivalent.
Barring the obvious NFC from the moniker, the phone brings WiFi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, and dual-SIM support with a hybrid slot. It also offers IP53 certification for protection against water and dust splashes; a Gorilla Glass 5 at the front; and a polycarbonate rear panel, which could be a cost-cutting measure.
Underneath, the Poco X3 NFC has LiquidCool Technology 1.0 Plus with a copper heat pipe and a graphite sheet for dissipating heat while intense gaming. There’s no under-display fingerprint scanner but rather it is on the side, which acts as a power button.
The Poco X3 NFC has two variants: 6GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB and will be offered in Shadow Gray or Cobalt Blue color option. Pricing starts at €229 for the 6GB/64GB variant and €269 for the latter one. It starts shipping from today. However, Xiaomi has not revealed anything regarding its availability in Nepal.
