Original, 6 November 2020 [1:54 PM NPT]: Fitbit, the American consumer electronics and fitness company is officially coming to Nepal. A Sharda Group subsidiary, Barun Enterprises will be introducing several Fitbit products across two different categories — Smartwatch and Fitness Trackers. The list includes Fitbit Versa 2, Versa 2 SE, Fitbit Versa 3, Fitbit Inspire 2, Fitbit Charge 4, and 4 SE.
A recent IDC report dated back to 10 March 2020 quotes Fitbit to be the fifth largest wearable company in shipments as of 2019 with 14.8% over year growth after the likes of Xiaomi and Apple. The company reportedly sold above 100 million devices while gained around 28 million users overtime.
Barun Enterprises will be launching the products exclusively on Daraz on the occasion of Daraz 11.11 Singles’ Day sale but is yet to announce the price in Nepal. Now, let’s look at each of their specifications in detail.
Fitbit Versa 2
The Fitbit Versa 2 comes with a 1.4-inch AMOLED touchscreen. Running on the Fitbit OS, Versa 2 is compatible with Android and iOS operating systems.
The smartwatch IP certified with water resistance up to 50 meters in depth. For connectivity, it uses Bluetooth 4.0, wireless protocol, and NFC.

The smartwatch also brings multimedia options such as a music player and speakers whilst a bunch of added features like an alarm clock, goal setting, reminders, social integration, and stopwatch.
