Amazfit has announced new variations of its existing Amazfit Pop and Amazfit GTS 2 smartwatches — the Amazfit Pop Pro and the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini respectively. Unlike the regular variant, the Amazfit Pop Pro now has an in-built GPS, and as the name suggests the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini cuts down on the screen as well as battery.
The Amazfit Pop Pro is water-resistant and built with polycarbonate translating to its 31g weight. It uses a 1.43-inch rectangular dial with a digital clock face.
A major upgrade in the Pro model is an in-built GPS for reliable sleep tracking and a host of useful functionalities that include heart rate, calories intake burned, distance, and steps. The device uses Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity and a 225mAh battery to keeps its lights on.
Amazfit Pop Pro starts at CNY399 (~NPR 7,158) to be available in Black, Green, and Pink colors across all the main Chinese retailers as of 10 December.
As for the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini, it’s a trimmed version of the GTS 2. It has a 1.55-inch AMOLED screen with 354 x 306 pixels resolution and support for over 50 watch faces and always-on-display.
The body is built with an aluminum alloy except for the plastic bottom and goes along with a silicone strap and 5ATM water resistance support.
While it shares every other specification with the older model, it has a smaller 220mAh cell, though it lasts 7 days under heavy use, 14 days under regular use, and 21 days with basic watch modes on as advertised.
Amazfit GTS 2 Mini starts at CNY 699 (~ NPR 12,540), already up for sale on the official Amazfit website. It’s available in Pink, Green, and Black colors.
Amazfit made an official entry only last week in Nepal, which means that we could see both the Amazfit Pop Pro and the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini anytime soon in Nepal.
