The new MSI Summit series business laptops are now available in Nepal. MSI, which is best known for its gaming laptops announced the Summit series back in September including Summit E and Summit B series — both with 15-inch and 14-inch models, while the E series also has a 13-inch convertible, also known as, E13 Flip.
In Nepal, however, not all the models are launched yet. We have the E15 under the Summit E series and B15 and B14 under the Summit B series.
The Summit Series is suitable for remote professionals, shipped with an Aluminum chassis, slim bezels, and military-grade durability. The highlighting features include Intel’s 11th generation “Tiger Lake” processors and Thunderbolt 4 ports.
Now, let’s take a quick look at each Summit series business laptop followed by their prices in Nepal and availability.
MSI Summit E15
The MSI Summit E15 comes with a 15.6-inch 4K ultra-high-definition screen with slim bezels and 100 percent Adobe RGB support. The laptop powers on Intel’s 11th Gen Core i7 CPU and Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Max-Q GPU with 4GB GDDR6 VRAM.
The E15 has up to 64GB of RAM with a 3,200MHz clock speed, an NVMe M.2 PCIe Gen4 SSD as well as M.2 NVMe PCI Gen3 SSD slots.
For connectivity, it has two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, an HDMI port, a microSD card reader, and a mic-in/headphone-out combo jack. Moreover, it carries a TPM 2.0 unit alongside a fingerprint scanner, an infrared HD type 720 webcam, and a backlit keyboard. Built with an aluminum chassis, the laptop weighs 1.65kg.
The Summit E15 price starts at NPR 2,49,000 in Nepal for the FHD display model.
MSI Summit E14
The Summit E14 shares a majority of specs with the E15, however, it brings a 14-inch 4K ultra-high-definition screen, up to 32GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and an NVMe M.2 PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage.
While the connectivity features also remain identical, this one comes with an extra USB 2.0 Type-A port and misses out on an HDMI. The laptop weighs 1.29kg.
Summit B15
The Summit B15 has a 15.6-inch FHD IPS screen with thin bezels. It also powers on Intel’s 11th Gen Core i7 processor and Iris Xe graphics from the same, though it lacks dedicated graphics.
The B15 comes with up to 64GB of RAM with a 3,200MHz clock speed. The storage remains identical as in Summit E15 alongside the connectivity features aside from the one and only Thunderbolt 4 port and an extra USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-A port. It offers a similar aluminum chassis, which weighs around 1.6kg.
Summit B14
The Summit B14 shares a majority of specs with the 15-inch model in the Summit B lineup. However, this one has a 14-inch FHD IPS panel with slim bezels. And it gets up to 32GB of RAM with a 3,200MHz clock speed, an NVMe M.2 SSD, and PCIe Gen4 but lacks a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port. The B14 weighs 1.3kg.
Price in Nepal and Availability
The MSI Summit Series price in Nepal starts at NPR 1,38,000 for the B15 model and goes up to NPR 2,59,000 for the E15 model as per the availability.
