LG had its press conference at the CES 2021, which started yesterday on Microsoft Teams as a fully-digital event. The LG press conference majorly consisted of the company’s latest TVs and appliances and a quick look at its rollable smartphone under the Explorer Project that could be public anytime soon.
Marching towards the end of the press conference, we got to see a tablet-sized LG rollable handheld in the landscape with its top retracting back to a smartphone-sized device apparently using a motorized mechanism.
The upcoming device from LG looks a lot like the Oppo X 2021 concept with the display outspreading on the right-hand side as held in portrait.
The conference gives a notion of how the device expands from smartphone to tablet form factor and moreover display sizes of the two.
Coming from the official announcement of LG Wing, we are seeing LG teasing its Rollable smartphone, twice now, which could mean we may see it coming anytime soon.
