Oppo’s yet another budget-friendly phone has arrived in China, it’s the Oppo A55 5G which brings Mediatek Dimensity 700 chipset and a substantial battery, to begin with.
Under the hood, the Dimensity 700 chipset runs on Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.2GHz for power and six Cortex-A55 cores for efficiency with a clock speed of 2GHz. The chip is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage with an option for expansion via a microSD card.
The front has a 6.5-inch LCD panel with a pretty underwhelming HD+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. The top gets a waterdrop notch that holds an 8MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 lens.
Speaking of the camera, the rear of the Oppo A55 5G has three lenses — a 13MP primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and two 2MP f/2.4 shooters for depth and macro shots. It can record 1080p videos at 30fps, while the slow-mo video is limited to 720p only, but that’s down to the chipset.
The phone ships with a massive 5,000mAh battery with just a 10W charging speed which is carried via USB-C port. You get the 3.5mm headphone jack and a fingerprint scanner at the side which doubles as a power button.
The Oppo A55 5G is already on sale in China for a price of CNY 1,599, which is around NPR 28,800 in Nepal.
