History has repeated itself as Xiaomi’s Android One phone, Mi A3 is getting bricked left and right again, thanks to the Android 11 update. A while ago the Mi A3 was the victim of a poor update as it took Xiaomi four tries to finally roll out the Android 10 update without bricking phones.
Xiaomi has now stopped pushing out the Android 11 update for the Mi A3 and posted an official statement in the Mi forum where they stated that users affected by the software can take their smartphones to their respective service center to fix the phone — no question asked, even if you don’t have any warranty.
But most users in the forum have replied that they live in a place where there’s no official service center, so it looks like the problem’s not going to end soon.
Judging by the track record, it seems Xiaomi is having a hard time to maintain the Mi A3’s software support which could be one of the main reasons why we are yet to see its successor.
