After failing to achieve greater heights with the Mate X, Huawei is set to embark on yet another foldable journey with the new Huawei Mate X2. According to its Weibo handle, Huawei is set to unveil the successor to last year’s Mate X on February 22.
If you take a look at the poster (above), it points out the Mate X2’s display which will fold in an inward direction this time, much like the Galaxy Z Fold 2.
Prior leaks and reports suggest the screen size be 8.01-inch with a 2480 x 2222 pixel resolution. And with an inward folding mechanism, the Mate X2 will have a 6.45-inch external display as well with a 90Hz refresh rate.
The Huawei Mate X2 will power on Kirin 9000 5G chipset based on a 5nm process and will likely ship with Android 10, a 4,400mAh battery, and 66W charging.
