We saw the launch of Xiaomi’s new flagship, the Mi 11 at the end of 2020. Now there are rumors that two more phones are joining the flagship — the Mi 11 Lite and Mi 11 Pro. The former, as the ‘Lite’ moniker suggests, will feature toned-down specs, which have now surfaced online.
A Chinese source reveals that the Mi 11 Lite will come with an OLED screen with a punch-hole cutout, a Snapdragon SM7350 chipset, a 64MP rear main camera alongside a 5x telephoto lens.
The interesting part of this leak is that Qualcomm does not have any SM7350 chipset. And there have been some rumors that it’s the Snapdragon 755G, which is developed on a 5nm platform and it’ll have a powerful Cortex-A78 core.
Besides that, the 64MP main camera on the phone is less impactful than the Mi 11’s 108MP, which makes sense given that the Lite variant is expected to cost much less than its counterpart. However, it looks possible that the periscope lens will be present here, which is quite expensive to manufacture, but Xiaomi has been putting a 5x telephoto lens on its premium mid-range phones, so the rumors should not be completely ruled out.
No matter what, it’s going to be interesting to see how the Mi 11 Lite unfolds in the coming days.
