Nubia has announced the new Red Magic 6 and Red Magic 6 Pro, both of which carries a 6.8-inch AMOLED panel with 2,400 x 1,080 pixels resolution, refresh rate that can go as low as 30Hz and as high as 165Hz — the highest on any smartphone, and touch sampling rate number to 500Hz for single and 360Hz for multi-touch.
You are not just looking at a great display but the other specifications as well. The Nubia Red Magic 6 lineup ships with a Snapdragon 888 chipset coupled with a minimum of 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 onboard storage.
Both smartphones come with a triple camera setup at the back comprising a 64MP main, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro sensor whilst a single 8MP selfie shooter at the front.
The regular variant gets a 5,050mAh cell with 66W fast charging, while the Pro variant carries a smaller 4,500mAh battery with a higher 120W fast charge support. As stated, the battery in the Red Magic Pro charges from 0 to 50% in a matter of 5 minutes.
Both devices have a capacitive shoulder button, a 3.5mm audio jack, an under-display fingerprint scanner, and a copper heatsink, which is cooled courtesy of the company’s own fan rated for higher revolutions per minute.
Nubia is all set to release the Red Magic 6 lineup globally in the latter part of March 2021, while it’s already available in China.
The regular model’s price starts at 3,799 CNY, which is around NPR 68,623 in Nepal for an 8GB/128GB memory config shipping in Carbon Fiber Black and Cyber Neon colors. Similarly, the Pro model is priced at 4,399 CNY (~NPR 79,461) for 12GB/128GB and 6,299 CNY (~NPR 113,000) for a whopping 18GB/512GB memory config.
