Xiaomi has announced a couple of new gaming smartphones — Black Shark 4 and Black Shark 4 Pro. Both the smartphone share a majority of specifications whilst differ with regard to processor and cameras.
The duo shares a 6.67-inch E4 AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 720Hz touch response rate. For gamers, Black Shark even has an ‘e-sports finger gloves’ now.
As for the processor, the Black Shark 4 is powered by a Snapdragon 870 chipset and the Black Shark Pro opts for the Snapdragon 888. The Pro model also comes with a two-layer cooling system to dissipate heat — one right beneath the display panel and another cooling chipset and remaining internals. As per Xiaomi, the heat dissipation goes up to 30% and reduces CPU temperature by 64.4°F.
The cooling system is touted not just to enhance performance but to keep the smartphone cool during charging.
Talking about charging, both regular and Pro model supports up to 120W fast charging while the 4,500mAh battery is said to go from 0 to 100% in 14 minutes 50 seconds.
Other similarities include JOYUI 12.5 built on top of Android 11 OS offering effective resource utilization of the smartphones while managing notifications during gaming to avoid distractions. You are also getting shoulder keys that are reportedly pressure-sensitive, hence are able to recognize light or hard press. On the right are two-mode switch keys giving room to a power button doubled as a fingerprint scanner right within. The volume rockers, hence, see their place towards the left.
