MIUI 13 could get announced anytime in August 2021. The disclosure came from a Xiaomi executive when he was talking about the latest development in internal software testing for the OS.
The Xiaomi-made UI is likely to ship with smartphones inside mainland China in August in the first phase. Then, it will gradually roll out to other devices across the world.

While we are yet to know about any changes related to UI and others, we can at least expect the OS to hit Xiaomi devices launched as late as 2019. Since the stable version of Android 12 is yet to arrive, we expect MIUI 13 to be based upon Android 11 too.
Also, Xiaomi will allegedly launch its Mi Mix 4 in August together with MIUI 13. The Mi Mix 4 is an upcoming flagship from Xiaomi that is said to feature Ultra-wideband support and an under-display camera as well.
