Cimex Inc., known for its passenger as well as commercial electric vehicles has launched the second generation All-New BYD e6 in Nepal. This makes it the Longest Range Electric Vehicle in Nepal, thanks to a 71.7kwh Blade Battery Pack. Now, let’s find out more about the new EV.
The BYD e6 is said to be specifically designed for a smooth and comfortable ride with enough space in each compartment, not to mention a 580 liters boot space. It uses MacPherson Strut suspension at the front whilst multi-link suspension chassis at the back for comfort and strength.
The new iteration doesn’t seem to miss out on an opportunity to improve over the predecessor. It runs on the Blade Battery, which is a new generation Lithium Ion Phosphate Battery with much higher benchmarks in terms of performance, power density, reliability, and safety. The cell supports both AC and DC fast charging and it can go from 0 to 100% in 2 hours with AC and 0 to 100% in 1 hour 10 minutes with DC Boost Charger. Similarly, a 6.6kW home charger can take it from 0 to 100% in 10 hours.
The BYD e6 is also said to be the first-ever electric vehicle to come with the latest IPB Intelligent Integrated Brake Control System for faster response time. It leverages several electric powertrain components to lower weight while enhancing efficiency.
Other features include collapse energy-absorbing steering wheel, electronic power steering, anti-lock braking system, electronic stability program, vehicle dynamic control system, roll movement intervention, controller deceleration parking, and more.
