After unveiling the new i20 and Palisade in quick succession, Hyundai has officially announced the new Tucson in Nepal in four different variants: three 2WD models that are powered by a 1999c petrol engine and a 4WD with a similar displacement but diesel engine.
The key features include front fog lights, multi-function steering wheel, alloy wheels, passenger airbag, parking assist, power steering, anti-lock braking system, and brings four drive modes: Normal, Eco, Sport, and Smart. The Smart mode adjusts the gear shift intervals based on your recent driving behavior.
The new Hyundai Tucson flaunts a 3D parametric-style grille and jewel-like surfaces while maintains a futuristic look, plus it brings cutting-edge digital design tools.
The interior gets a premium look with a 10.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. On the other hand, the SUV offers an ample 5-seater layout for the comfort of passengers.
The SUV is built on a third-generation platform that is said to deliver active handling on top of endurance, all thanks to its 4-cylinders DOHC engine with 1999c displacement. This can generate a max power of 156ps at 6,200rpm (petrol) and a max torque of 19.6kg.m at 4,500rpm on a diesel engine.
It uses MacPherson Strut suspension at the front whilst Multi-Link suspension at the rear.
The front gets ventilated disc brakes while the rear gets solid disc brakes.
Tucson promises first-in-class safety with a range of SmartSense technologies. The safety features include forward collision avoidance assist, lane-following assist, blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, and rear-cross-traffic-collision-avoidance assist.
