Daraz Nepal has announced the launch of Daraz Live, South Asia’s first shoppable Live Stream available on its mobile application starting 1 September 2021. Daraz Live has been initiated as part of the company’s “Shoppertainment” strategy with a focus on creating a blend of retail and entertainment, thus create an innovative and fun experience for the customers.
Customers can have a first-hand adjacent experience of several brands and products right through their smartphones in comfort at their homes.
The first of its kind in Nepal, the Daraz Live stream will be held at three different time periods – 12:00 PM,
4:00 PM and 6:00 PM from Monday to Friday via the Daraz mobile app.
Unlike the typical social media Livestream, it is said to create a more seamless and interactive “See Now, Buy Now” experience for customers. It follows a closed-loop model offering customers all the relevant information, entertainment, and engagement for a unique buying experience. Each edition allows customers and sellers to engage in real-time conversation. Daraz Live will also host engaging and entertaining activities, celebrities, and chances to win exciting gifts and rewards each day.
Moreover, there are exclusive deals, product demonstrations, flash sales, unboxings, and giveaways, and more.
Considering the lack of opportunities for the sellers to connect with the customers, Daraz Live is definitely a great platform to do so whilst increase brand exposure as well. This not just benefits the sellers in the short run but helps them build a level of trust and connection with the customers.
Keep in mind that Android users are requested to update their Daraz app to the latest version to be able to join the Livestream. For iOS users, however, the app update is slated to air on 6 September.
