Daraz Nepal has announced its plan to accelerate its delivery and logistics services to make strides throughout the nation in the months to come. Since the acquisition by Alibaba in 2018, Daraz Nepal has shown its focus driven towards building nationwide logistic infrastructure allowing it not just to expand its footmark but to develop an improved e-commerce ecosystem in the country. As a result, it did expand its delivery services to above 47 cities across Nepal.
Daraz mentions the diverse geography of Nepal bringing in oppression for e-commerce companies, hence itself. One of the major hurdles has to be the improper road networks making the delivery of goods as well as services troublesome. The company hired delivery riders, familiar with a specific locality in any given part of the country. Daraz calls it the ‘Delivery Heroes’ delivering products in the rightful location wherever situated.
As for the delivery hubs, there are 15 in total throughout the nation that is responsible to carry out the shipping task. These include the ones in:
- Birtamod
- Biratnagar
- Janakpur
- Birgunj
- Bharatpur
- Pokhara
- Butwal
- Dhangadi
- Bhaktapur – Sallaghari
- Kathmandu – Old Baneshwor
- Kathmandu – Balaju
- Kathmandu – Gopikrishna
- Kathmandu – New Road
- Kathmandu – Thasikhel
- Kathmandu – Soltimod
Now, it actually seems an upsurge given how basic the logistic operations in Nepal were when the company commenced in 2018. Considering a few logistic companies capable of handling such huge workloads back then, Daraz introduced Daraz Express, the first-ever e-commerce delivery company of Nepal. Daraz pledges improved logistic experience on top of quality warehouse and control through Daraz Express.
