The 2021 version of Motorola G Power came back in January, but Motorola has already hit the stride with the 2022 variant of it. However, technically the device ships in early 2022 in the US, while the Canadian market will get it “in the coming months”. And like usual, there’s no word about if the device will ever hit the Nepali market.
Putting things aside, we have the Moto G Power 2022 with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel which is slightly smaller than its predecessor, though you still get the same 720p panel with a faster 90Hz refresh rate. There’s MediaTek’s Helio G37 in favor of the Snapdragon 662 chipset.
Thankfully, the phone now gets larger RAM and storage in the base variant — 4GB/64GB compared to 3GB/32GB prior to this. There’s also a 128GB storage option with an option for microSD card expansion on either of the model.
The back is pretty similar with the 2MP macro and depth sensor following last year’s model, but the main camera gets an upgrade with a 50MP f/1.8 unit. For selfies, you still have that same 8MP, f/2.0 sensor at the front.
Packing inside is a 5,000mAh battery with mediocre 10W charging and it still boots Android 11 out of the box.
No price has been set for the Moto G Power (2022) but the handset will be available in the Dark Grove color option.
