The Vivo Y53s hit the Nepali market just back in August and Vivo has already launched its successor today, it’s the Vivo Y54s 5G. The device brings MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 SoC and boots on Android 11 with OriginOS 1.0 out of the box. The handset also offers 128GB UFS 2.1 onboard storage and 6GB of RAM which is further expandable up to 2GB.
The Vivo Y54s has a 6.51-inch LCD screen with a notch that houses an 8MP selfie camera. The downgrade here is that it comes with a 60Hz panel instead of the 90Hz as seen on the Y53s 5G, with the resolution taking hit to HD+ from FullHD+.
Taking a look at the back, we have a dual-camera setup with a 13MP main camera and 2MP depth units, which is yet another cost-cutting measure as the Y53s had 64MP primary and 2MP macro cameras.
The battery remains unchanged at 5,000mAh capacity but you get an 18W charger, which is a lot less than the 33W found on its predecessor.
Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Multi-Turbo 4.0 for enhancing your gaming experience.
Vivo Y54s Price and Availability
The Vivo Y54s has a price tag of CNY 1,699 (around NPR 32,000 in Nepal) and it’s available in blue and gray color options. There’s no word on its availability outside China but we expect the device to hit the Nepali market sooner or later.
