Paramount Motors, the authorized distributors of MG vehicles in Nepal is all set to launch the new MG ZS EV as they have already opened the booking for the Morris Garage’s first electric vehicle which is priced at Rs. 49,99,000 in Nepal.
The MG ZS EV delivers 110 KW/ 148 BHP of power and 350 N.M of maximum torque powered by 44.5kwh Lithium-Ion battery that can be charged up to 80% within 30 minutes. It can go from 0 – 50kmph in just 3.1 seconds and can travel 428km on a single charge.
The EV model looks the same as the standard GS. The front has quite aggressive looks with the LED DRLs integrated with the headlamps while the front grill looks futuristic which houses the charging port behind the MG badge.
On the side, it has a shoulder line going all the way to the back. It gets the new windmill design 17-inch alloy wheel and the cladding around the body. The ZS EV is available in three colors: Blue, Red, and White.
Inside it gets an eight-inch infotainment touch screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. However, it gets the standard gauge cluster with a small TFT display. Apart from that, it gets leather upholstery, heated seats, three riding modes, panoramic sunroof, and electrically adjustable seats. The interior is also practical as it has more space with a flat floor which can easily accommodate five people. The boot space is about 448l.
The safety feature includes the MG Pilot; a set of driver-assistance systems designed to help prevent accidents on the road. It includes autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane-keeping assistance, lane-departure warning and prevention, hill lunch and decent assistance, electronic stability control, six airbags, auto hold, reverse parking camera plus 360-degree radar. The Exclusive trim adds blind-spot monitoring and lane-changing assistance, as well as rear cross-traffic alert and door opening warning systems.
The MG GS EV will compete with Hyundai Kona and the newly launched Kia e-Niro.
