The network equipment manufacturing company is not a household name when it comes to smartphones but the China-based company has initiated their mobile business too. TP-Link has announced its two new smartphones at IFA entitled as Neffos X1 and Neffos X1 Max.
While both of these smartphones shares similar specs as well as similar metal build, the main difference tends to be the size of the phones.
Talking about the first one, the Neffos X1 features 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixel. In case you’re wondering, the whole phone is powered by MediaTek’s Helio P10 chipset bearing a clock speed of 1.8GHz alongside a Mali-T860 GPU. As far as the camera goes, there’s a 13MP primary camera with Sony IMX298 sensor, f/2.2 aperture, phase-detection AF and dual LED flash. Up front, there’s a 5MP sensor for selfies and video chats. Other noticeable features include a fingerprint scanner at the back of the phone with an impressive read time of 0.2 seconds, dual SIM support with 4G capability. The whole phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and packs a 2,250mAh battery inside.
The Neffos X1 comes has 2 variants, one with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage whereas the other with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Both variants support a microSD card expandable up to 128GB.
Taking a look at the second model, the Neffos X1 Max share similar specs with the Neffos X1. The only difference it includes is a bigger 5.5-inch 1080p display and a powerful 3,000mAh battery. The Neffos X1 Max also comes in 2 variants – the first one is baked in with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage whereas the second one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The only benefit that the X1 Max offers is bigger & better display and a powerful battery which we think won’t be a game changer for most of the people.
As stated the Neffos X1 and the Neffos X1 Max will be available in market at the end of the year. Both X1 and X1 Max will carry a starting price of €199 and €249 respectively.
