IMS Motors, the authorized distributor of SsangYong Motors has launched the all-new SsangYong Rexton in Nepal. The new premium SUV from the Korean company comes in two variants, a 6-speed manual (ELX) and a 7-speed automatic transmission (Ultimate) with a price tag of Rs. 1,11,99,999 and Rs. 1,19,99,000 respectively.
The SUV segment is the more preferred vehicle by people in context to the road condition. And without a doubt, the Rexton possesses all the quality to hit the off-roads of Nepal. The second generation Rexton stands tall and bold with its impressive presence. And for those, who are looking for a premium luxury SUVs, the Rexton will surely turn around their heads. The exterior styling comes from SsangYong concept of ‘Dignified Motion’. The result can be seen with the exterior detailing, the floating roofline, and muscular profile in the body. Overall, the car looks spacious in term of its size.
The front looks very much modern as it gets the unique grill that SsangYong claims to be inspired by the wing of the bird. The entry-level Rexton get touches of chrome, skid plates, auto lights and wipers, rear LED lights and 17-inch alloys as standard on the outside. It also features the cruise control, rear parking sensors, air conditioning, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a rear-view camera and Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
The SUVs’ ELX and Ultimate model are upgraded with the push start button, dual-zone climate control, 18-inch alloy wheels, Nappa leather, electrically adjustable front seats, and heated seats all around, alongside a 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 7.0-inch information display.
However, the Ultimate models get the touch of luxury with quilted leather, 20-inch alloy wheels, ventilated seats, HID headlights, ambient LED interior lighting, 9 airbags, and a 360-degree camera system as part of the package.
The new 2.2 liter Euro 6 engine delivers a maximum power of 181PS at 4000rpm and maximum torque of 420Nm at 1600-2600rpm. The Ssangyong Rexton is available with a six-speed manual or a Mercedes seven-speed auto for smooth performance. It also gets the four-wheel drive, hill start assist and hill descent control. The new Rexton comes with a service warranty of 3 years up to 60,000 km.
