Jawa Perak has officially launched in Nepal. This one shares plenty of specifications with the Jawa Forty Two, however, it’s different with regards to design as well as mechanics. Agni Motoinc Private Limited, the authorized dealer of Jawa Bikes in Nepal has announced this new bobber for a price tag of NPR 7,50,000.
Here we will be discussing Jawa Perak in brief followed by its price in Nepal and availability.
Overview
Originally from the 1940s, Jawa Perak holds on to the good old appeal yet features a number of prevailing features. The front has a round headlamp cluster, which comes with halogen instead of LED lights. Similarly, you get a chiseled Jawa branding on the fuel tank, bar-end mirrors, analog speedometer, single-seat, and tail lamp.
Given that the speedometer works anti-clockwise, this seriously demands you to get used to it. The horizontal cluster doesn’t allow the rider to see speed within 60kmph up to 100kmph. Also, you will have to stretch to look at the bar-end mirrors. Clearly, Jawa Perak isn’t so great in terms of ergonomics, at least on paper.
The boober flaunts a double cradle tubular frame, a quirky subframe, and a large wheelbase courtesy of a protruded swingarm. Unlike its siblings, it generates greater power and torque — 30bph and 32.7NM respectively.
The way we can expect from a bobber, you are supposed to sit amidst front and rear wheels. Also, you will need to get used to hitting the toolbox cover every now and then. With 145mm of ground clearance, you should be careful of U-shaped turns, or else you might get the exhaust scraped.
The Jawa Perak is not a reasonable choice in ergonomics, especially for city areas. Yet if you own this, anyone will at least take a good look at the motorbike while on the road.
