It’s official, OnePlus 6 has officially hit the market. Although the design is definitely not revolutionary, the power it brings on the table is something worth praising. And of course, the price it comes shouldn’t be taken for granted as well.
The OnePlus has a 6.28-inch Optic AMOLED display; one of the largest by the company. The huge display has been equally complemented with 19:9 aspect ratio and a notch at the top. The 1080p display of the phone supports sRGB and DCI-P3 color gamut as well.
Let’s see what the phone has to offer in optics. The dual-camera setup at the back consists of 16MP main and 20MP secondary sensor. Both sensors cohesively works to create wonder. And with features like OIS and Smart Capture, users are in for a treat.
Similarly, the rear camera is also capable of shooting 4K videos at 60fps and 480fps slow-mo vid at 720p resolution. That’s something smartphone these days are still lacking.
At the front is a 16MP camera that has an AI which is helpful to create images with bokeh effects. The front camera is not only limited to selfies; it can also be used to unlock the phone with the help of your face. Or you could just opt-in to unlock it through the fingerprint scanner at the back.
Talking about the back, OnePlus has redesigned it completely with glass. The back glass is protected with Gorilla Glass 5, while, the company has opted for a basic water and dust resistant
Now for the remaining part; the hardware. Inside, the OnePlus 6 runs on Snapdragon 845 chipset. The processor is accompanied with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM. And for storage, users can go all the way up to 256GB of 2-lane UFS 2.1 storage. And, as expected there’s no microSD card slot.
Powering all these things is an unchanged 3,300mAh battery with Dash Charge support. However, unfortunately, despite the glass back the phone still misses out on the wireless charging.
As for the pricing, the 6/64GB variant will go on sale for $529, 8/128GB for $579, and 8/256GB for $629. The phone will go on sale from 22nd of May, while the Silk White Limited Edition will be available from 5th of June.
