OnePlus took the market by storm with its 8-series flagships earlier this month, but the OnePlus Z, the company’s mid-range offering, is yet to see the potential. The smartphone was expected to launch alongside its flagship siblings but OnePlus didn’t do so. Rather, the company kept it as a mystery. However, if recent reports are to be believed the device could hit the market in July, and True-Tech has showcased a first alleged hands-on image of the device.
If you look at the image, the phone, unlike its flagship counterparts, has a flat display with a punch-hole at the center. There’s an instruction on the display which points out that the OnePlus Z will come with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Also, this means, the phone will have an OLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, as the company is dedicated to launching devices with that as a minimum. Looking back at the previous rumors, the phone will have in between a 6.4 and 6.5-inches display.
Similarly, the OnePlus Z is touted to offer MediaTek Dimensity 1000L chipset, 8GB RAM, and 128GB of storage. The back of the device is said to have a triple-camera setup consisting of a 48MP primary sensor. The phone will boot on Oxygen OS based on Android 10 and carry a 4,000mAh battery.
