The existence of Microsoft’s new Xbox Series S console has been confirmed after it got widely leaked. Microsoft, through a tweet, states the Xbox S to offer “next-gen performance in the smallest Xbox ever” and adds the price as well, which is $299 in the US and £249.99 in the UK.
If you look closely at the official image of Series S, you can see how thin this thing is, and most notably it lacks a disc drive. Although the images show it standing in an upright position, given how the logo is placed, we can most probably say that it can be used in a common horizontal position.
👀 Let’s make it official!

That’s all the information we have got now from Microsoft, however, the company has promised us to give us more information in the near future.
According to Windows Central, the Series X and Series S have a launch date of November 10, with the former carrying a price tag of $499 and possibly bit superior hardware, though, we can say that the cheaper one will draw more attention in the western market than ever.
Update: The Xbox Series S is in fact launching on November 10 as Microsoft confirms.
