Vivo acclaimed the No. 5 position in Q1 2021 among the largest smartphone vendor in terms of worldwide preliminary smartphones shipment with a 10% share and +27% growth rate. Vivo has also launched a few of the most popular smartphone lineups in Nepal, primarily in the budget segment, one of which includes the Vivo Y series. And the company is set to expand its budget lineup with a new entry to the Y series, the Vivo Y1s.
With the display just over 6-inch, Y1s is powered by an Helio P35 processor from MediaTek and runs on FunTouch OS 10.5 built on top of Android 10.
Overview
Starting off with the display, Vivo Y1s has a 6.22-inch IPS LCD panel with 1520 x 720 pixels resolution, 88.6% screen-to-body ratio, and a 20:9 aspect ratio. There is a dew-drop notch at the top that houses a 5MP selfie unit.
Powered by MediaTek Helio P35 chipset, the device runs on FunTouch OS 10.5 built on top of Android 10. The processor (Helio P35) is coupled with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage expandable via a dedicated microSDXC slot. An IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU handles the graphic.
In terms of the optics, the handset comes with a single f/2.2 13MP sensor at the back. The rear shooter can record up to 1080p videos at 30fps.
The Vivo Y1s ships with a standard charger to charge its 4,030mAh cell which is said to charge fully in 2 hours as per the company.
Similarly, connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, micro-USB, FM radio, hence a 3.5mm headphone jack.
