Honor, the sub-brand of Huawei has gone on to reveal its most powerful smartphone till date, the Honor 8 Pro. Just like Huawei’s most of other devices the Honor 8 Pro is a rebranding of then launched Honor V9. The V9 was launched in China while the latter one will go on sale in Europe.
The Honor 8 Pro is by far the most superior smartphone from Huawei this year, even topping its previously launched Huawei P10. While the handset is definitely not targeted to users seeking budget alternatives, Huawei has efficiently priced the smartphone. As for the specs, the Honor 8 Pro comes with 5.7-inch QHD display, whilst, inside sits the Kirin 960 octa-core processor with first four cores bearing clock speed of 2.4GHz, whereas the remaining 4 being clocked at 1.8GHz. The smartphone definitely doesn’t compromise on memory department as well — it comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage, which makes it on par with Huawei Mate 9.
As for the camera, the Honor 8 Pro boasts dual-camera setup. The dual 12MP camera sensor cohesively works wonder to produce great images. Like every other Huawei smartphone, the first sensor is used to capture images in RGB color, while the second one captures images in monochrome. The back fingerprint scanner is present in the handset, while the P10 featured it in front.
The Honor 8 Pro comes with EMUI 5.1 refined Android 7.1 Nougat OS out of the box. The AI algorithm implemented in the software learns about your activity and the frequent app you use, thus optimizing them to provide users a lag free experience. All this is single-handedly powered by a 4000mAh battery. Other features include a dual-SIM support with 4G LTE, NFC, and USB Type-C port for data exchanging.
