After the debut of OnePlus 7 Pro in Nepal, the OnePlus 7 has now hit the Nepali market. The phone brings all the quintessential features and a value for money side which OnePlus was once known for.
The phone, despite the upgrade in number, still carries a resemblance to the OnePlus 6T in terms of aesthetics but adds a mix of features from OnePlus 7 Pro. Unlike the curved screen from the Pro variant, this one has a flat 6.41-inch Optic AMOLED display which still manages to achieve that sleek look, thanks to the teardrop notch.
The upgrade can be seen below the display; an in-display fingerprint scanner which is faster than the 6T model and equals to the Pro model. Another change is the Snapdragon 855 chipset that is accompanied by either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB and 256GB UFS 3.0 storage respectively.
Optically the OnePlus 7 strikes a difference between it and the Pro variant. As opposed to the triple-camera seen on the OnePlus 7 Pro, this one has a dual-camera at the rear. The normal sensor is the same 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor which sits alongside optical image stabilization and a slightly high f/1.7 aperture. The second, however, is just a depth sensor which is slightly disappointing. However, it still retains the UltraShot feature that enables HDR+ and Super Resolution mode.
The pop-up mechanism seen on the Pro model is absent from the normal for obvious reasons. But this has not taken away the flair of the selfie camera. The OnePlus 7 has a 16MP front snapper — inside a small notch — with EIS that can record 1080p video.
- 6.41-inch screen
- 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution, 402 ppi pixel density, 19.5:9 aspect ratio

- 3,700mAh battery with 20W fast charging; no wireless charging

- Dual rear-cameras: 48MP Sony IMX586 1/2″ sensor with f/1.7 aperture, OIS + 5MP, f/2.4, 1.12µm depth sensor

Barring these changes, the normal variant has Dolby stereo speakers and no IP rating whatsoever, just like the Pro model.
Powering the phone is a 3,700mAh battery that charges over a 20Watt fast charging adapter. There’s no wireless charging support, again just like the Pro model.
OnePlus 7 Price in Nepal and Availability
Regardless of what you get and not, the OnePlus 7 shaves off feature just for the sake of keeping the price down. And it can be seen here, you can get the 8GB/256GB variant of OnePlus 7 in Nepal for Rs. 66,999. That’s a good deal considering that the Pro model with a similar configuration hits almost 1 lakh in Nepal.
