Vivo’s Y lineup gets a new member — the Vivo Y19, which was introduced on the occasion of the company’s 2nd anniversary in Nepal. The new Y19, as Vivo likes to call, is a successor and replacement to two of the company’s eminent devices — the Y17 and S1 respectively. The eminence of these two phones was partly because of the premium design and specs for a pretty low price. And, the Y19 brings along the same characteristics out of the box.
Taking a look at the features, the first thing you’ll notice is the display, which is an LCD panel measuring 6.53-inch diagonally. The resolution is set at 1080 x 2340 pixels with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
At the back is where its triple-camera sits. An array of three camera consists of a 16MP f/1.8 wide sensor, an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro lens, also seen on some of Vivo’s current-gen flagships. The front, on the other hand, sees a 16MP f/2.0 selfie shooter hidden inside the waterdrop notch.
Inside, it gets the MediaTek Helio P65 SoC accompanied by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The extra RAM and storage are always a good thing to have especially at the price you’re getting this phone for; props to Vivo. On top of that, the Y19 offers a humongous 5,000mAh battery which can be topped up with 18W dual engine fast charging. One nifty feature of this phone is that you use it as a powerbank; making full use of its huge battery, albeit at a low output of 5W.
