After resurrection from bankruptcy and launching the Steel 5, Gionee is back again with the new K6, an entry-level handset with a 6.2-inch LCD HD+ panel and a waterdrop notch up top with 13MP selfie camera in it.
The back of the Gionee K6 has 16MP main camera paired alongside two shooters, which details are yet to be disclosed. There’s also a capacitive fingerprint scanner, pretty common in this segment.
Inside, we get the Helio P60 chipset that goes with 6GB or even 8GB of RAM and 128 or 256GB of in-built storage. Powering this phone is a 4,350mAh battery, whilst weirdly enough it ships with Android 7.1 Nougat, unveiled back in 2017.
About the pricing, the Gionee K6 is offered in three variants: 6GB/128GB version for CNY 799 (~$112), 8GB/128GB model for CNY 899 (~$125), and finally a maxed-out variant with 8GB/256GB memory config for CNY 1,099 (~$153). The phone comes in black and blue color options.
