The BizFest 2019, powered by Google Business Group (GBG) Kathmandu, Khalti and Women Will, held at Galaxy Public School, Gyaneshwor aimed to give us the ideas about business startups. With startups being the trend nowadays, the BizFest 2019 addressed the issues that one might primarily face while starting up a business and providing a platform for people to learn about the business strategies that various brands use in order to get to the place where they are today.
With the participation of more than a hundred startups, products and projects that showcased their ideas and strategies, the BizFest 2019 brought a variety of brands and companies under the same roof which makes it one of a kind. Talking about products and companies that participated, from clothing brands to customized smartphone covers, from robotic hands and 3D printers to the app and websites developing companies, organic food to authentic Nepalese handicrafts, it brought them all together to gives us an idea about how they all started and how it stacks up now.
As unique this idea of bringing everything together is the participation of students and people who are willing to start their own business in the future and even for knowledge, the event was a success. While some took it as an opportunity of learning beyond the syllabus, others took it as an opportunity to get an overview of the brands that have established their names since the past five years.
To conclude it, BizFest 2019 was all about the learners and the direct interaction of exhibitors and visitors which happens to be the reason behind the WIN-WIN scenario that we saw. On the one hand, people learned about startups and business in Nepal, brands got a platform to promote their products, whilst some exhibitors got an opportunity to get direct opinions and feedbacks from people. “Together we learn, together we grow” is the statement that puts the GBG BizFest 2019 altogether.
