All thanks to the bezel-less trend in smartphones, we get to see some cool tech with newer and newer smartphones. From wider displays to taller ones, from notch to motorized pop-up selfie cameras, which has been the buzz these days. Surely, it gives the display an edge to edge feel without any notch coming in between.
Previously we’ve seen this tech on the likes of Oppo F11 Pro and the Vivo V15. Finally, Huawei catches up the trail with some rumors going around the new Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 which is supposed to have a pop-up selfie camera.
There are quite a few cool things about the speculations going around the upcoming Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 which makes it an interesting one. Firstly, the elephant in the room is the pop-up camera. Secondly, the pricing which is supposed to be lower than that of the competitors.
The phone is expected to come with a 6.59-inch IPS LCD display with 91.006% screen to body ratio over the 6.53-inches and 90.9% screen to body ratio on the likes of the Oppo F11 Pro and the Vivo V15.
Powering the Y9 Prime 2019 will be a 4,000mAh battery which happens to be of the same capacity as on the Vivo and Oppo offerings. What’s not same however is the presence of USB-C on the Y9 Prime 2019 versus the old school micro USB port on both of the competitors.
The Y9 Prime 2019 will be boasting a whopping 128GB of onboard storage, 4GB of RAM and Kirin 710 chipset as opposed to MediaTek chipset on both phones.
If reports are to be true the pop-up mechanism is what exposes the 16MP f/2.2 camera on the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 and over at Oppo F11 Pro whilst on the likes of Vivo V15 the megapixel count is slightly bigger at 32MP. This is going to be one interesting competition when the Y9 Prime 2019 rolls out most probably this quarter.
