CG MotoCorp, the authorized distributor of the Maruti Suzuki in Nepal has launched the all-new 2019 Suzuki Wagon R at a starting price of Rs. 24,99,000. The launch sees three new variants in the market of Nepal: Wagon R VXi, Wagon R VXi (O), and Wagon ZXi.
The new Wagon R is now a completely new car as it is bigger than its predecessor and is fully grown up Wagon. It has grown 13mm longer, 125mm wider, and has a wheelbase of 2435mm which is based on Suzuki’s Heartect platform. It looks completely different from the previous Wagon R although it still looks boxier.
The exterior now gets more rounded edges rather than the sharp edges. It now gets redesigned headlamp, front grills, wheel arch, blackened area of c-pillars, and tall verticals tail-lights making the hatch look modern.
The interior is also completely redesigned as it has different layers and section with a two-tone dashboard. It now houses the all-new seven-inch infotainment system, audio control mounted steering wheels, manual AC, four power windows, rear wiper, rear parking sensor and electrically adjustable side view mirror(on ZXi variant). It has boot space of 340l.
For the first time, the new Wagon R comes with two engine options. The 1.0-liter 998cc three-cylinder petrol engine which generates the max power of 68ps @ 5500 RPM and max torque of 90nm @ 3500 RPM and the more powerful 1197cc K 12 1.2-liter four-cylinder petrol engine can generate the max power of 83ps @ 6000 RPM and max torque of 113ps @ 4200 RPM.
It has the option of 5-speed manual or an AMT. It is the same engine that powers the Swift, Dzire, Ignis and the Baleno. It gets 32l fuel tank and has a fuel efficiency of 22.5kmpl and 21.5kmpl respectively.
As it is based on the Heartect platform it gets ABS with EBD and Dual Airbags as standard, Central Locking, Seat belt reminder, Child Proof Rear Door Lock, Speed Sensitive Auto Door Lock, and a Security Alarm.
Wagon R is available across six different color variants: Silky Silver, Superior White, Pearl Autumn Orange, Pearl Poolside Blue, Pearl Nutmeg Brown, and Magma Grey.
