The first Software Meetup in Nepal will be held on the 26th of April 2019 on Friday. ICT FRAME and DIT SOLUTIONS are hosting the event.
What it’s all about?
The software industry and the overall IT scenario in Nepal are on the verge of a boom like never before. The reach of this industry is spreading its roots almost everywhere, which is inevitable.
But there’s a gap between the market and IT graduates that are being produced every year. This is because the Nepali IT students seem lost when it comes to understanding the prospects and utilization of their skills. Not just students, we see companies being born every day in the IT and software domain but the investors seem confused about investing in them because of the gap again.
This very first Nepal Software Meetup is being organized with a view to bridging the gap and creating better opportunities for everyone, who are involved in the IT industry of Nepal.

The meetup motto is to expand the boundaries of the market scenario and also the networking among the professionals will be to help each one of the participants. Similarly, students and newcomers of the industry can learn from the experienced ones about the challenges and opportunities so that they can prepare themselves for the work they are heading for.
The event is planned to be organized every month and the report shall be submitted to the Nepal Government body. And the only motive behind this event is to see the Nepalese economy and market status boom with the rightful share of the software industry as it is happening worldwide.
It has not been so long that India has reached several milestones with the proper handling of the software industry. Thus, the first Nepal Software Meetup will look forward to identifying the issues in the software industry scenario of Nepal and find the solutions for them so that we march on the new era of the software industry in Nepal.
This event will be launched on the National ICT day, i.e. on the 2nd of May under the hood of ICT Frame online magazine. This magazine has been focusing on information and communication technology and is available in two versions since 2014 A.D, i.e, native Nepali and English language. Also, this is the first tech portal led by a woman as a Chief Editor, Mrs. Mina Aryal. It’s been working to uplift the tech environment in Nepal by empowering every possible aspect of our society and this has gained popularity as an example of women in technology.
