Huawei’s Nova 5 lineup — including Nova 5, Nova 5 Pro, and the Nova 5i — was unveiled a month ago. However, we were also expecting the launch of Nova 5i Pro alongside these but it did not happen. Although we thought the second Pro model would never go live, later on, there were some image leaks suggesting the existence of the device.
Nonetheless, now we have some strong evidence that the Nova 5i Pro will go live after all. The current images confirm that those previously leaked images were valid in the end. The current leaks also suggest the phone’s specs: a 6.26-inch 1080p display with a punch hole at the top left.
Furthermore, the back of the phone will have a quad-camera setup with a square configuration, much like the Mate 20. The quad-camera setup will consist of a 48MP sensor, an 8MP one, and two 2MP snappers. And for selfies, the phone will have a 32MP front camera placed inside the punch hole.
Similar to its sibling, the Nova 5, the Nova 5i Pro will get Kirin 810 chipset combined with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM. The two variants will come with 128GB of storage, while the 8GB RAM will get an additional option of up to 256GB onboard storage.
The Nova 5i Pro will get three colors, a 4,000mAh battery with 20W fast charging support and a capacitive fingerprint scanner flushed alongside the back.
The device is expected to launch soon but the only thing we are unknown is about its launch date and final price.
