Realme has unveiled the first-ever MediaTek Dimensity 800U powered smartphone, the Realme X7 alongside its Pro variant and the Realme V3 in China. The Realme X7 Pro powers on a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+, while the V3 carries a Dimensity 720 chipset.
The Vanilla Realme X7 has a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel with 180Hz touch sampling rate, a single punch hole at the top left corner giving room to an f/2.5 32MP selfie unit, and an under-display fingerprint scanner underneath.
At the back of the device lies a quad-camera setup comprising an f/1.8 64MP primary sensor, an f/2.3 8MP ultrawide sensor, and two 2MP units for portraits and macro shots, all supplemented with a single LED flash.
It comes with a 7nm based MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC at the helm paired with 6GB/8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB onboard storage alongside Mali-G57 handling the graphics.
The device uses a 4,300mAh cell with 65W fast charging that charges via USB-C to keep the lights on. Also, you are getting two SIM card slots, both supporting 5G networks, and easy switch.
The Realme X7 is available in three different colors — Blue, White, and Gradient and “Dare to Leap” written at the back at a price starting CNY1,799 ($265/€220) with first flash sales kicking off on 7 September.
Coming to the Pro variant, the Realme X7 Pro carries a 6.55-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with a 240Hz touch sampling rate and a similar single punch hole at the top left corner housing the 32MP selfie shooter.
The device powers on a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset with a fancy heat dissipation system and a vapor chamber responsible for lowering core temperature by up to 10 degrees Celsius. Also, the Dimensity 1000+ is a flagship MediaTek chipset lauded to compete with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor in terms of performance.
The Pro variant gets a 4,500mAh cell leveraging 65W fast charging support. And it’s using a similar quad-camera setup at the back as well, i.e. an f/1.8 64MP primary sensor, an f/2.3 8MP ultrawide sensor, and two 2MP units for portraits and macro shots.
The Realme X7 Pro comes in three different memory variants — 6GB/128GB priced at CNY2,199 ($320/€270), 8GB/128GB priced at CNY2,399 ($350/€295), and 8GB/256GB priced at CNY3,199 ($470/€390). It’s already up for pre-orders with first shipments kicking off on 7 September. Again, it’s available in Dark Blue and Pearl White colors with “Dare to Leap” written at the back.
Meanwhile, the Realme V3 5G comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display carrying a waterdrop notch giving room to an 8MP selfie unit. However, the fingerprint scanner gets its way at the back alongside the triple camera setup — f/2.2 13MP main and two f/2.4 2MP portrait and close-up sensors and an LED flash, all lined up in a square.
The device gets the biggest battery out of the three — a 5,000mAh cell with 18W charging via USB-C. And you are getting a 3.5mm audio jack right next to the port.
The Realme V3 5G comes in three different memory variants — 6GB/64 GB priced at CNY 999 ($146/€122), 6GB/128GB priced at CNY1,399 ($205/€170), and 8GB/128GB priced at CNY1,599 ($235/€195). It’s already up for pre-orders with the first shipment kicking off on 9 September for the 6GB/64 GB model and 19 September for the latter two. It’s available in Blue and White colors.
