The Realme GT Neo 3 sets a new DXOMARK fast charging record. GT Neo 3 has 150W UltraDart charging technology providing a premium mobile experience that allows users to charge the battery from 0 to 50% in a matter of 5 minutes.
DXOMARK recently announced Realme GT Neo 3 to top the devices list with regard to the charging time. The Realme GT Neo 3 gets a 121 charging sub-score exceeding the likes of Realme GT Neo 2 5G with 101 and Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max with 73 charging sub-score.
Meanwhile, GT Neo 3 seems to prioritize safety and durability alongside charging speed.
First off, let’s talk about the charging speed.
With advancements in modern technology enhancing usability and portability, charging speed is among the significant ones. Fast charging allows us to move for extended periods whilst saving time. The Realme GT Neo 3 comes with UltraDart Adaptive Dual-chipset paired with a 4:2 power charging architecture that enhances battery charging efficiency whilst reducing energy loss during charging from the source.
Also, the higher efficiency customized charge pump reduces the heat that is generated during charging. The lower charging temperature further extends the duration of high-power charging while improving the charging speed.
The smartphone has a new dual-cell series structure consisting of two 2,250mAh cells, which are connected in series inside the battery, equivalent to 4,500mAh. This structure is able to double the charging power with the same charging current.
The device can accurately detect the voltage of the cells using the Battery Sense Cell Voltage Detection Technology. It avoids errors that are caused due to battery protection circuit. This allows an accurate charging strategy during the charging process thereby shortening the overall charging time.
Coming to safety, Realme GT Neo 3 is certified by TÜV Rheinland for Safe Fast-Charge System with 38 security-protection measures. Hence, users don’t have to worry about safety while experiencing fast charging speed. There is a dedicated MCU charging security chip added to the charging circuit that can directly shut down the 150W charger in case of the abnormal charging status.
Now, as for the battery life, GT Neo 3 has a durable fast-charging battery with an effective battery capacity of no less than 80% after 1,600 complete charge and discharge cycles, twice the industry standard. Well, this holds the capacity to greatly reduce the decline in effective battery capacity and the device’s longevity.
The 4,500mAh battery assures longevity, particularly in the current 5G environment. Fast charging supplements the larger battery in daily use. The increase in charging speed empowers the efficiency and utility of the device.
